The Human Angle
There are several layers to this painting. The bottom ones are smooth curves and sweeps of colors, reminiscent of wind, sky, water, earth and vegetation. Overlaid on them are straight lines (that could be paths or barriers), bold geometric forms composed of right angles, and contrasting borders.
The result might be seen an homage to the integration of human structures with the natural landscape, as found in the very best architecture. Or, it might just serve as a pleasing composition. That's up to you, the viewer. My hope is that it finds a place to live where it will be enjoyed.
This piece has been painted on a cradled panel, which means that its sides are also painted, so it will look great as is (see the accompanying photos) or you can have it framed later. Insured shipping is free within the continental U.S.
